What:
The City of Los Angeles will be offering a $25,000.00 reward for information leading to the identity, arrest, and prosecution of the person responsible for the death of Mr. Robert Eugene Swain.

On Tuesday, July 27, 1998, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Mr. Swain and his girlfriend were moving into their new apartment when the suspect approached the victim. The suspect asked the victim which gang he belonged to. The victim replied that he was not involved in gangs. The suspect then shot the victim.

This press conference will be attended by Counsel Member Rita Walters from the 9th District, Commanding Officer of Operation South Bureau Deputy Chief J.I. Davis, Commanding Officer Lieutenant John Dunkin from South Bureau Homicide and Assisting Commanding Officer Lieutenant Ed Wilson, Victims of Crimes Gail Love-Shallowhorn and the victim’s family members.
