"Verbal Dispute Leaves One Dead "

Los Angeles – On Monday, December 4, 2000, at approximately 1:25 p.m., the victim Jimmy Jackson III, a 36 year-old African-American, and suspect Wallace Graham, a 54 year-old, African American, where at their residence, a boarding house located it the 1300 Block of West 59th Place. A verbal dispute ensued between the two men. This escalated to the suspect arming himself with a knife. The suspect then stabbed the victim in the chest, Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance transported the victim to a near by hospital where the victim failed to respond to treatment and succumbed to his injuries.

77th Area patrol officers responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect was booked for 187(A) PC, Murder.

The motive for this crime has not been established and the investigation is ongoing.
