Dog Attacks Man

Los Angeles: A vicious dog attacked and injured a citizen.

On Friday, June 13, 2008 at around 6:30 p.m., 77th Division officers responded to a radio call of citizens being attacked by a dog. Once at the scene, the officers saw a dog attacking a man. The dog was wildly charging at the man. In an attempt to stop the dog’s attack, Officer Jeffrey Pelczar, 7-years with the Department, shot at the dog.

The victim received injuries to the face, both arms and his left leg and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The dog died at scene.

77th Division is handling the investigation.
