Young Man Shot and Killed NR09414ne

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is asking for the public's help in identifying the person responsible for the shooting death of 22 year-old Samuel Leonard.  
 
On August 22, 2009, at around 8 p.m., Leonard was leaving a liquor store located in the 1700 block of West Century Boulevard.  As he was getting into his car a male Black suspect confronted Leonard and for no apparent reason, fired multiple gunshots at him. Leonard managed to run away before finally collapsing at a nearby McDonalds Restaurant.  

The suspect was seen getting into a red pick-up truck that drove away northbound on Hobart Boulevard.

Leonard was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Criminal Gang / Homicide Group, 77th Homicide Squad, Detective F. Weber or Y.
