Man Killed Inside Motel Room NR12196rh

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of three suspects who killed 21-year-old Michael Davis.

Today, around 2 a.m., Davis was inside a motel room in the 8400 block of South Figueroa Street when one of the suspects forced his way into the room and all three suspects began to assault him.  One of the suspects took out a gun and fired at Davis striking him in the upper torso.  The three suspects left the motel room.  A motel employee was informed of the shooting and he called for assistance.

The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported Davis to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives believe the motive for the shooting is a gang dispute.  The suspects are described as male Black, late teens or early 20’s.  The suspects and the weapon are still outstanding.
