The Los Angeles Football Club Soccer Academy is a dynamic leadership training academy that uses the medium of soccer to teach leadership, ethics and qualities of good character. Professional sports organizations including The Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA, UCLA Women’s Soccer Team, and the Loyola Marymount University Men’s team have joined forces with the LAPD, Bresee foundation and LAFC Soccer Academy. These professional organizations provide mentoring and leadership training in partnership with volunteers from the community.

The Bresee Foundation is a youth mentoring  community based organization in the Pico Union Area with thirty years of experience that has created a satellite program in South Los Angeles on Friday nights (LAFC Soccer Academy). The event is limited to teenage aged students that live in or near 77th Division.
