WHAT: A News Conference to announce a $50,000 reward offered by the Los Angeles City Council for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects responsible for the murder of 26-year-old Brandon Fields.

WHEN: Thursday, November 19, 2015 10:00 a.m.

WHO LAPD Captain Peter Whittingham, 77th Area Commanding Officer\ LAPD Detective Mark Hahn, Criminal Gang and Homicide LAPD Detective Roger Fontes, Criminal Gang and Homicide Family members of Brandon Fields

WHY: On Monday, December 8, 2014, around 3:40 p.m., Brandon Fields was walking to his residence located in the 300 Block of East 118th Street in Los Angeles. Suspects 1 and 2 were driving westbound on 118th Street in a gray 4-door sedan when they pulled alongside Fields and fired multiple gunshots from their vehicle. The suspects fled in the grey sedan. Fields was struck by the gunfire and he did not survive the injuries.

Fields was a talented and well-known “Battle Rapper” known in the music industry as “Young B The Future.” The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the perpetrators involved in this murder.
