Liquor Store Takeover Robbery in San Pedro

San Pedro: On Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a takeover robbery occurred at "Cabrillo Liquor & Fine Wine" located at 1317 South Gaffey Street in San Pedro. The suspects entered the store armed with handguns and forced the employees and witnesses into the rear cooler area. The suspects got away with U.S. currency, cigarettes and liquor. The suspects are described as three African-American males. Suspect-1 is described as 5’9" to 5’1" tall, 190-200 lbs, 25-30 years old, and wearing a white and brown checkered shirt with a golf hat. Suspect-2 501 is described only as weighing approximately 180lbs, 22-25 years old, and wearing a black long sleeve hooded shirt and blue jeans. Suspect-3 is described as 20-26 years old with short black hair, a medium build and wearing a gray Pendleton shirt. The suspects left the scene in a late model silver or gray American made midsize minivan.
