Shooting Death near an Elementary School NR14136rh

Wilshire:  Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects who killed a 33-year-old male Hispanic.

On April 6, 2014, around 2:53 a.m., Wilshire officers were flagged down by a citizen and directed to a victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the 3200 block of Washington Boulevard near a closed elementary school.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.

The victim has not been identified, pending notification to next of kin.

The suspects are described as several male Hispanics driving a white pickup truck.  The vehicle was last seen traveling Westbound on Washington Boulevard.

The investigation is ongoing and is possibly gang related.
