Elder Distraction Theft in Studio City NR17100rh

Studio City: Los Angeles Police
Department and North Hollywood Division Robbery Detectives are
asking for the public’s help in providing any information that
would lead to the arrest of two suspects involved in a theft in
Studio City.

On March 31, 2017, around 1:30 p.m., an elderly female victim was
grocery shopping at a local store in the 12800 block of Ventura
Boulevard, when she was approached by a male suspect who distracted
her by asking her a question about a food product. While
distracted, the suspect removed the victim’s wallet from her purse.
A second suspect acted as a lookout. The suspects then used the
victim’s credit cards at several locations.

First suspect is described as a male Black, black hair, stands 5
feet 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, 45 years of age, and well
dressed in a dark business suit.

Second suspect is described as a male Black with a mustache, grey
thinning hair, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, 60 years of age, and
wearing a white polo shirt with stripes and blue jeans.
