Los Angeles: For the past eight years, Central Traffic Division (CTD) has adopted the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit and has actively participated in raising funds for this invaluable program. Central Traffic Division takes great pride in contributing to the Children’s Hospital, which not only benefits the child in need of a transplant, but the child’s immediate family as well.
Six years ago, CTD expanded this charity program to include a car show, "Cops For Tots." This year, the sixth annual CTD "Cops For Tots" Car Show will be held on August 26, 2001, between the hours of 7A.M. and 4 P.M. at the Los Angeles Police Academy.
The public is welcome to register their personal vehicles in the car show for a $25 fee by August 19th. All proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital BMT unit. Along with the car show, there will be live entertainment, food booths, and static displays, which will include SWAT and Recruitment. Last year over 400 cars and trucks were in attendance, and $28,000 was raised.
