65 Year-Old Man Shot to Death on His Front Porch

Los Angeles: On Sunday August 10, 2003, at about 8:00 p.m., 65 year-old Bobbie Dean Veasley, a resident of San Pedro, was sitting on his porch located at his residence in the 200 block of South Arboles Court. A male Hispanic approached Mr. Veasley and pointed a gun at his face. Mr. Veasley pushed the gun away and the suspect walked away. Moments later the suspect returned and confronted Mr. Veasley and shot him for unknown reasons.
Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect is described as an 18-20 year-old, male Hispanic, 5’-09"/6’0", wearing a white shirt and dark pants. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
