Los Angeles:  Actor Matthew McGrory was found dead in his home Tuesday night.

LAPD officers were called to the actor’s Sherman Oaks residence Tuesday evening, August 9th, for an “Ambulance Death Investigation” radio call.  Paramedics who responded had found him dead of apparent natural causes at 6:23 p.m.  The investigation by Los Angeles Police Department Detectives determined that there were no unusual circumstances involved, nor any signs of foul play. A Pennsylvania native, Matthew McGrory, 7’2″ tall, was best known for his breakout role as “Karl the Giant” in the 2003 movie release “Big Fish.”  He first earned media exposure in 1992 when he was named for having the largest feet in the world (size 29 ½) by the Guinness Book of World Records.  Since then, the 32-year-old actor gained acclaim in film and television, making memorable appearances as “Lothar” on “Malcolm in the Middle”, “Ogre” on “Charmed” and “Giant” on “Carnivale.”
The case has been turned over to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
