Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department detectives, family members, Los Angeles City Council President Garceti, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Yarsolavsky held a press conference today to announce a reward they are offering in efforts to identify and locate the suspect(s) responsible for the  murder of Ila Ali Packman.

Despite numerous interviews and man hours, no one has come forward with any information that would assist in developing leads in this murder investigation.  Los Angeles Council President Eric Garcetti and Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor, Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky received approval for rewards in the amount of $55,000 to be offered to anyone for information leading to the identification, apprehension, and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Mr. Packman.

On Thursday, June 24, 2010, at about 9:05 p.m., Mr. Packman was discovered with multiple stab wounds inside a medical marijuana clinic located in the 1600 block of North El Centro Avenue, Hollywood.  The suspect(s) entered the clinic, stabbed the victim repeatedly, and left the location with about $3000 worth of marijuana and the closed-circuit recording equipment.
