Two Pedestrians Hit Only One Survives NR12076kr

Los Angeles:   Two pedestrians were struck by a car as they were crossing a busy street outside of a crosswalk.  One of them died.

On Sunday, August 5, 2012, around 8:35 p.m., a 2012 Lexus RX350 traveling south on White Oak Avenue hit two pedestrians walking south of Vanowen Street, outside of a designated crossing area.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.  One victim was treated and released with minor injuries, but the other, 63-year-old Nagat Farag of Los Angeles died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
