Man Killed in Bicycle Collision NR12391cj

Los Angeles: On Sunday, August 19, 2012, around 4:00 a.m., 34-year-old Los Angeles resident Jean Carlos Galaviz was riding his bicycle southbound on Canyon Crest Avenue when he failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway and collided with the east curb.  The impact from this collision caused Galaviz to be launched in a southeast direction where he collided with the hillside.  

Jean Galaviz was gravely injured from the collision and was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to the University of Southern California Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

No other vehicles or bicycles were involved in this collision.
