WHO: Los Angeles Police Department Command Staff

WHY: The Los Angeles Police Department will hold a series of community meetings throughout the City to seek public input related to a proposed pilot program for the use of a small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS), otherwise commonly known as a small drone, in limited tactical situations. The proposed pilot program will be for a period of one year and will be monitored by the Board of Police Commissioners. At the end of the pilot program, the usefulness of the sUAS will be evaluated to determine if a permanent program should be put into place.

All members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings and provide input. Interpretation service for Spanish speaking community members will be made available at each location.
