WHAT: Back To School Shop With A Cop Event

WHO: LAPD Captain III Ruby Flores, Hollenbeck Area Commanding Officer LAPD Captain Al Labrada, Hollenbeck Area Commanding Officer LAPD Hollenbeck Area Detectives LAPD Hollenbeck Area Officers Children from the local community

WHY: Hollenbeck Area Detectives and Police officers will accompany 25 students from the community to shop for school supplies. The children will be given a $100 gift card to purchase needed supplies for the upcoming school year.

The Department received a total donation of $62,500 from the Mathew 25:35 Foundation to enable the Back To School Shop With A Cop to take place at 25 different locations around the City. Officers in uniform will assist the students as they shop for back to school items.
