Commercial Burglary Suspect Captured on Video Surveillance NR12554LG

Los Angeles: LAPD Hollenbeck Area Burglary Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect involved in a series of commercial burglaries that have occurred in the past week in the Boyle Heights area along the Cesar Chavez corridor.

On November 28, 2012, around 8:30 a.m. Hollenbeck Area officers responded to a burglary investigation in the 2800 block of Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. When officers arrived they discovered the business had been broken into and the suspect had gain entry by smashing the glass front door.

Video surveillance shows the suspect entered through the front door. Once inside, the suspect can be seen going to the cash register, opening the cash drawer and removing money. The suspect is also seen taking cigarettes and lottery tickets. The suspect left the business through the smashed front door panel.

The suspect is described as a 45 to 50-year-old Hispanic male with grey hair, wearing dark clothing. He stands 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 150 to 160 pounds.
