This merry event helps to assist the newly formed LAPD Civilian Wellness/Memorial Foundation.  Money raised will benefit civilian LAPD employees and their immediate family members who have experienced unforeseen catastrophic circumstances, including death, illness and injury.

Police Service Representative Anthony Rivers will be cycling from Metropolitan Communications Division downtown to Valley Communications Dispatch Center in West Hills for a total of 35.83 miles!  "Last year’s Cycle Santa fund raiser was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve been involved with in my career. It was heartwarming to see how Communications Division came together and took care of our "Extended Family Members" during their time of need. This year’s event will benefit the formation of a future ‘LAPD Civilian Employee Memorial Foundation’ for employees Department-wide, and I am proud to represent Communications Division once again to participate in this event!"

Those who participate in the Elf Walk and donors who make a $35 or more contribution receive a free Cycling for Santa T-Shirt!. You can sign up for the "Elf Walk" or you can make a generous donation by visiting: www.active.com and search for the Key Word: LAPD 911.  There will be food booths and music. The public can register for this exciting event and take part in the Elf Walk at 8:30 a.m. at LAPD Police Headquarters Building.
