LAPD Hollenbeck’s 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway in Ramona Gardens Housing Authority City of Los Angeles

What:
Annual Christmas tree lighting and holiday toy giveaway for Ramona Gardens youth residents
(ages 4-11).

When:  
Friday, December 20, 2013
4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ramona Garden residents will gather to decorate and light up a Christmas tree while the Ramona Gardens Teen Club members sing Christmas carols.

From 5:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Santa Claus and his Sleigh will travel from Hollenbeck Area to Ramona Gardens (Via Soto Street then enter into Ramona Gardens on Lancaster Ave).

From 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. LAPD officers and volunteers will distribute food and toys to Ramona Gardens residents.  Children will also get to ride on a trackless train and take pictures with Santa and his sleigh.

Why:    
The purpose of the event is to distribute Christmas toys to the youth that live in Ramona Gardens.  This is the 3rd annual Christmas toy giveaway in Ramona Gardens.  Through the Housing Authority and the Los Angeles Police Department, children who live in Ramona Gardens received toys in 2011 and 2012.  This event is a community event that allows the agencies to come together and share in the spirit of Christmas by giving to residents who are in need.
