18-Year-Old Man Shot and Left to Die On Front Lawn Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of 18-year-old Roel Mejia, a Reseda resident. Early on Saturday morning, Devonshire Area patrol officers responded to the 17200 block of Sunburst Street in Northridge after a citizen reported seeing a man bleeding from multiple gun-shot wounds on the front lawn of a residence. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Mejia dead at the scene. There is no suspect(s) description and the motive for this shooting is not known. Anyone with information is urged to contact Devonshire Homicide Detectives John Doerbecker or Humberto Fajardo at 818-832-0609.
