About
The Foothill Area has a population of approximately 182,214 people and covers approximately 46.13 square miles. Foothill Community Police Station serves the communities of Tujunga, Lakeview Terrace, Sun Valley (North of Golden State Freeway), Sunland, Arleta and Shadow Hills, and is under the jurisdiction of Valley Bureau.
Goals
CRIME
- Reduce Part I Crime by at least one percent (38 fewer crimes at Foothill)
- Establish Crime Strategies Section
- Establish prostitution eradication program (Lankershim Boulevard corridor)
- Deploy auto crimes enforcement unit
- Employ aggressive anti-theft program with retailers
COMMUNITY:
- Re-engage our Community Base
- Reinvigorate CPAB (new members & concrete tasks)
- Establish San Fernando Valley Coalition to Combat Sex Trafficking
- Expand Cadet Post to 100 Cadets
- Use Cadets to drive public service and education programs
- Enlist assistance from business watch
- Develop emergency preparedness and recovery program
