Two Victims Killed While Attending a Party

On Saturday, July 24, 1999 at 11:15 p.m., Los Angeles Police Foothill Area Patrol officers responded a shots fired call, ambulance en route with a victim down at 10600 block of Nettleton Street in Sun Valley. Upon the arrival of Police and Fire Department personnel, two victim’s suffering from gunshot wounds were discovered. One victim, Jose Chica, a resident of Sun Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, Christian Reynoso, was transported to Holly Cross Hospital where he later died.

Foothill Area Homicide Detectives responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims, who attending a party, were shot after an argument with unknown suspect(s). The suspects are not in custody.

The investigation is being conducted by Foothill Area Homicide under the direction of Captain Kenneth Garner, Commanding Officer, Foothill Detective Support Division.
