Police Officers Pursue and Arrest Attempt Murder/Domestic Violence/Rape Suspect

Foothill Major Assault Crimes unit is investigating an Attempt Murder/domestic violence/rape that occurred on Sunday, September 26, 1999 at approximately 10:30 A.M. in the 8500 block of Norris Avenue. The suspect, Gomez, George Alexander, is the victim’s husband. The victim and suspect were engaged in an argument at victim’s residence when the suspect began to beat the victim. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and beat her again. The suspect then took their 1½-year-old son and fled the location.

Responding officers completed a crime report and assisted the victim in obtaining a Temporary Restraining Order. At approximately 5:15 P.M. the suspect returned to the victim’s residence and police were notified. Upon officer’s arrival, the suspect fled the location in a White Chevy Suburban. The suspect had their 1½-year-old son in the vehicle. The suspect was pursued for approximately 40 minutes at which time he led officers back to the 1500 block of Paddock Street. The suspect was taken into custody and the child was returned to his mother. The suspect was booked at Foothill jail for multiple counts and is being held in lieu of $1,255,000.00 bail.
