Man Fatally Shot NR11309ne

Los Angeles:The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Foothill Area Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating the person responsible for the shooting death of 28-year-old Roberto Rodriguez a resident of Pacoima.

On Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at around 4 p.m., officers working Foothill patrol responded to a radio call in the 13000 block of Goleta Street.  When officers arrived they were advised by citizens that a man had been shot multiple times and had been transported to the hospital by friends.  

Rodriguez died at the hospital as a result of his wounds.  

Detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene and were told that the victim was with a group of friends when several youths approached on bicycles.  The suspect a 15 to 20-year-old male Hispanic, engaged in an argument with the victim then for unknown reasons the suspect produced a gun and shot the victim several times and fled the location.  The incident is believed to be gang related.

The suspect and weapon are still outstanding.
