Woman Killed in Solo Traffic Collision NR12369rh

Los Angeles: A young woman was killed last night after she lost control of the car she was driving, ran off the roadway and collided with multiple fixed objects.

On August 1, 2012, around 10:40 p.m., Valley Traffic Division Officers received a radio call to investigate a traffic collision that occurred near Branford Street and San Fernando Road in the Arleta area.  

20-year-old Brianda Lopez, a Sun Valley resident, was driving a white, 2005 Toyota Corolla east on Branford Street past San Fernando Road when she lost control of her car, crossed over the westbound lanes of Branford Street, ran off the road and collided with multiple fixed objects.

The Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Lopez dead.
