Suspects Gun Down Victims

Friday, January 7, 2000
On Wednesday night, January 5, 2000, at approximately 11:45 p.m. Jonathan Logan, and Ulysses Scott, were sitting on the front porch of the residence at the 500 block of West 14th Street. Three-unidentified male, Hispanic suspects approached these men and one of the suspects produced a handgun and fired multiple shots, striking both Logan and Scott in the upper torso. The suspects fled the scene on foot.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced victim Jonathan Logan dead at the scene. Victim Ullysses Scott was transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center for treatment. He was placed on life support systems and is listed in critical condition.

The motive for the crimes is unknown and the suspects and murder weapon are outstanding.
