Man Shot and Killed After Struggle in His Driveway NR10378gb

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives are searching for suspects who shot and killed a man as he parked his car in Harbor City.

On July 23, 2010, at around 7:20 p.m., 34-year-old Sergio Padilla had just arrived home in the 25600 block of Senator Avenue along with his family.  While he was parking his car in his driveway, Padilla was confronted by two male Hispanic suspects.  During a brief struggle, the suspects shot the victim multiple times.  Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead from gunshot wounds.

Details of the murder’s motive are not completely clear but Detectives said Padilla had recently been involved in a dispute with unknown narcotics sellers.

The suspects and weapon remain outstanding and the investigation is ongoing.
