Hit-and-Run Motorist fatally injured a 34-year-old man NR11303rh

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) South Traffic Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a driver who fatally struck a man crossing the street in San Pedro.

On Sunday, July 3, 2011, at about 2 a.m., a 34-year-old man was crossing the street east on Pacific Avenue at 14th Street when he was struck by a white Ford F-150 pick-up truck with tinted windows traveling north on Pacific Avenue.

The driver of the white Ford F-150 pick-up truck left the scene northbound Pacific Avenue failing to render aid or identifying himself or herself as required by law.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The hit-and-run driver and pick-up truck remain outstanding.

There is no driver description and the Ford F-150 is described as having large tires and a wide gold or silver stripe running along the body of the truck.  The pick-up truck may have front end damage.
