WHY:
To hold Harbor Area’s Teen CPAB 7th Annual Teen Police Conference entitled,  “Doing the Hard Right, Instead of the Easy Wrong – Addressing “Young Women’s Violence Prevention.”

Harbor’s Teen CPAB consists of dedicated teens whose mission is to bridge the gap between teens and their police department via positive problem solving dialogue.  The Conference will include motivational speaker Rachel Thomas, M.Ed., Sowers Education Group.  Workshops to include:

•    Teen Dating Violence- Women’s Shelter of Long Beach empowers young women to identify the warning signs of teen dating violence and providing them the resources to help them break the cycle of abuse.
•    Bullying- The Female Perspective and The Power to Change It.
•    A Lesson in Personal Defense – Educating today’s teens on being aware of their surroundings and hands on self-protection techniques.
