Suspect who Attacked 88-year-old Woman is Captured NR15196jk

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division, Special Assault Section (RHD/SAS) have identified and captured the individual who sexually assaulted an 88-year-old female.

On Saturday, June 6, 2015, around 2:30 a.m., Harbor Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a “Burglary suspect there now” in the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Western Avenue. Once on scene, officers determined the suspect entered the location and sexually assaulted the victim.

RHS/ SAS Detectives and Scientific Investigation Division personnel worked continuously since this attack occurred to identify the suspect. Through investigative leads, the suspect had been identified as Emmanuel Stanley Reales. Reales previously lived in the victim’s neighborhood and was familiar with the victim’s circumstances.

Reales has a criminal history of sexual battery, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, burglary, criminal threats and possession of narcotics and is currently on probation for burglary. On June 10, 2015, RHD/SAS detectives presented their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office. Multiple sexual assault charges were filed against Reales and he remains in custody on $1,000,000 bail.
