Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department will make the wishes of a 15 year-old girl become reality when she flies over Los Angeles in a police helicopter.
Nicole Bertini has been diagnosed with a cancer, a rare case of Sarcoma. Her wish was to be with Los Angeles Police Officers and experience police activities.
When members of the Los Angeles Police Department learned of Nicole’s wishes, the LAPD responded by accommodating and making her an honorary police officer for a day. On Friday, January 9, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., Nicole will be joining Air Support Division officers as they take to the air patrolling our City.
Assistant Chief George Gascon will be present and appoint Nicole as the newest member of our Department.
The media is cordially invited to cover this heart-warming event.
