UPDATE

Canoga Park: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s
Art Theft Detail recovered stolen art valued at over $120,000 from
a house and storage unit in Canoga Park.

The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Robert Michael
Slayton who was arrested for Grand Theft. The stolen trailer was
found in Slayton’s backyard in 7700 block of Farralone Avenue. The
trailer had been stripped to the chassis.

There is art that has not been recovered. Anyone who has been
offered art for sale by Slayton or who has information about the
crime is urged to contact the Art Theft Detail at

Chatsworth: The Los Angeles Police Department’s
Commercial Crimes Art Theft Detail investigators are investigating
the theft of a utility trailer containing valuable art.

On November 20, 2015, a 24-foot-long, 2005 Haulmark trailer was
parked at an industrial park in the vicinity of Nordhoff Street and
Alabama Avenue. The trailer has California plate number
4MB3828.

The trailer contained paintings, prints and sculptures from artists
including Miro, Haring, Neiman, Chagall and Matisse.
