Panorama City – The Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Area detectives are investigating a series of robberies and kidnappings that have occurred, beginning the latter part of May 2001. There have been eight incidents in an approximately one-month period, committed by the same suspects. The suspects are only described as three male Hispanics in their late teens to early 20’s and driving a white four-door compact vehicle.
The suspects approach lone males on the street, force them into their vehicle and drive around a short period of time. The suspects then take victims’ personal property and drop them off near the original location.
It is reported that the suspects are armed with unknown type handguns. One of the suspects possibly has facial piercing and speaks fluent Spanish. Most victims received minor injuries from the suspects during the crimes.
Devonshire Area detectives would like to warn the public regarding these suspects and at the same time, they are requesting the public’s assistance in capturing these dangerous individuals.
Anyone with information can contact Detective Robert Peloquin at 818-756-8291.
