Los Angeles – On Monday, July 9, 2001, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Rampart Patrol officers responded to a "Shots Fired" call at 2300 Block of Bellevue Avenue. Upon arrival, witnesses advised the officers that they found the victim, 36 year-old male Black, down in the apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the victim to USC Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The motive for this homicide shooting is unknown. The suspect(s) and weapon are outstanding.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next-of-kin.
