20 Year-Old Man Killed During Dispute

Los Angeles: On Monday, June 30, 2003, at about 10:00 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the Sylmar Park gymnasium located at 13109 Borden Avenue in Sylmar. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers discovered 20 year-old Steven Yuhasz, a resident of Sylmar, had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. Further investigation revealed Yuhasz was shot during a dispute with three unidentified suspects.
Los Angeles fire Department Paramedics responded and transported Yuhasz to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation. The suspects and murder weapon remain outstanding.
