Domestic Violence; Possible Motive For Couple’s Death

Los Angeles: On Saturday, July 5, 2003 at about 4:00 p.m., Northeast Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting call at a residence located in the 1700 block of North Avenue 53. Upon arrival, the officers found two dead bodies with apparent gunshot wounds.
Northeast Area Homicide Detectives responded and identified the victims as 57 year-old James Eversfield and his wife, 53 year-old Marilyn Eversfield. The motive for the murder is under investigation and is possibly domestic violence related.
