23-Year-Old Killed in Gang Shooting

Los Angeles: A 23-year-old man was shot to death on Saturday afternoon in South Los Angeles.

On July 28, 2007, at about 1:00 PM, Donyae Giles was walking on the sidewalk near the intersection of Imperial Highway and Vermont Avenue.

The suspect, described only as a male Black, walked up to the victim and shot him several times in the upper torso. After shooting Giles, the suspect ran from the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The motive for this shooting is an apparent gang related shooting.

The suspect and weapon remain outstanding.
