WHY:
Media Relations Section is sponsoring a Media Training Day so that local media outlets are exposed to and take with them many of the same pressures to which our officers are exposed.  Media can observe and/or partake in the following training:  crowd management, emergency vehicle operations, use of force and less lethal options.

This training is geared for field reporters, but we welcome any interested producers or news directors.  Availability is limited, so we ask that you contact Sergeant Rudy Lopez, by July 16, 2012, at 213-486-5900, and confirm your attendance.

Please note that training will occur in areas that may not have smooth pavement and will require some physical assertion for those that participate in training.  Dress in comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring liquids for hydration.
