News conference to announce a $50,000 reward in connection with the Hollywood Hills “torsoless” murder case

WHY:             
To announce a Los Angeles City Council-approved reward being offered in the amount of  $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible in the Harvey Medellin murder case.

The investigation gained wide attention when it surfaced this past January because only the victim’s head, hands and feet were found near the Hollywood Sign.  Detectives are still searching for the rest of the body parts and any clues they can find to help solve the case.

Detectives will be on-hand to talk about the reward, provide updates and take questions about the status of the investigation.
