37 Members of the LAPD Recognized During Awards Ceremony

The Los Angeles Police Department will be presenting awards to sworn and civilian personnel for Heroism and Humanitarianism.

Award Recipients and their Families
WHY:    
During the ceremony, 16 members of the Los Angeles Police Department will receive the Lifesaving Medal, two will receive the Police Medal, 7 will receive the Police Meritorious Service Medal and 12 will receive the Police Star.
 
A strict criterion governs the awards.  Personnel were selected by the Department for bravery and outstanding service, or for showing great compassion and for having gone beyond the call of duty in their response to fellow human beings.
