CRITICAL MISSING – 8-year-old Girl Taken by Biological Mother

Updated:  On Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 7:00 am Dezhane Norton was located in good health and is currently in police custody.

Los Angeles:  The family and legal guardians of Dezhane Norton and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help to locate her.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 9:00 p.m., 8-year-old Dezhane Norton met with her mother, 42-year-old Kivon Norton, outside a restaurant in the 1700 block of West Century Boulevard.  Soon after their initial meeting, Kivon and Dezhane Norton were seen walking away from the location without the permission of Dezhane’s legal guardians.
 

Suspect: Kivon Norton, is described as a female Black who stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a multi-colored scarf on her head, a blue shirt, blue jeans and a pink long-sleeved shirt around her waist.

Victim: Dezhane Norton, is described as a female Black, who stands 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 90 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a brown shirt, blue shorts, pink shoes and “Hello Kitty” eyeglasses.
