Join Rampart Community Police Station For The 24th Annual “National Night Out”

WHAT: “National Night Out,” an event for the community

WHEN: Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

WHERE: March for Peace and Unity starts at MacArthur Park at 5 p.m. and ends at LAPD Rampart Community Police Station, 1401 West 6th Street, Los Angeles 90017

WHO: Congressman Xavier Becerra, 34th Congressional District Councilmember Gil Cedillo, Los Angeles Council District 1 Councilmember Mitch O’ Farrell, Los Angeles Council District 13

LAPD Deputy Chief Robert Arcos, Commanding Officer, Operations-Central Bureau LAPD Captain Jonathan Tom, Commanding Officer, Rampart Patrol Division Mr. Humberto Luna, a Spanish-language radio personality, TV host, and actor, who will serve as Honorary Master of Ceremonies

WHY: The goal of “National Night Out” is to continue to solidify unity and partnership between our community and law enforcement against crime.

The Rampart Community Relations Office, in partnership with non-profit organizations and local/family businesses. Information will be available regarding police/youth programs, community businesses, resources available in the Rampart area, and community partnerships.

The event will begin with the Unity March starting at MacArthur Park and ending at Rampart Community Police Station. Once at the station, the festivities will commence. There will be live music, local talent performing on stage, and food from an array of local restaurants.

This event is free to the public.
