"Altercation Results In Homicide, No Motive Known"
 
Los Angeles: On Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at 3:41 p.m., Devonshire Area Patrol Officers responded to a citizen generated 911 call regarding a man down in the 19100 block of Bryant Street. Officers and Fire Department personnel arrived and observed a critically wounded man lying on the ground at the corner of Van Alden Avenue and Bryant Street. Fire Department personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Devonshire Area Homicide investigators have assumed responsibility for the investigation. Preliminary information suggests that the victim was involved in an argument with the suspect which resulted in his death. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 5′ 9", thin build, and 16-22 years of age. No motive has been established at this time. The victim has been identified as Enrique Castejon, a 21 year old resident of Northridge.
