Man Shot Dead on Pacific Area City Street

Los Angeles: On June 2, 2003, at about 7:45 p.m., 24 year-old David Garcia Reyes was standing on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of Centinela Avenue, in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.
A white four-door sedan stopped in the street and a male Hispanic suspect, armed with a gun, got out of the vehicle. The suspect ran up to Reyes and shot him repeatedly in the torso. The suspect ran back to the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was driven by a second male suspect. Reyes was taken to a local hospital where he died.
There are no suspects in custody and no weapons have been recovered.
