Man Found Shot to Death in Boyle Heights

Los Angeles: Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are investigating the May 31st shooting death of a Los Angeles man.
At approximately 9 o’clock in the morning, the victim was discovered on Artimas Street, east of Anderson Street, by employees of a nearby company on their way to work. The Police were immediately called. On arrival officers found the victim, Ruben Del Rio, 35 years of age, with multiple gunshot wounds to his back and legs. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The shooting is believed to be gang related.
A visual preliminary investigation by the Los Angeles County Corner revealed the primary cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds to the upper back and legs. The man’s body was taken to the Coroner’s office for further postmortem examination.
The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community in solving this murder.
