LAPD Deputy Chief Honored What: San Pedro Italian Cultural Center to honor Deputy Chief Richard Roupoli and Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda When: Friday, June 22, 2007 6:00 PM Where: Simon's Banquet Center 1150 Nagoya Way San Pedro, CA Who: Deputy Chief Richard Roupoli Mr. Tommy Larsoda Additional: San Pedro's La Piazza Italian Cultural Center will host its second annual San Pedro Italian-American Achievement Awards Ceremony. Los Angeles Police Department's Deputy Chief Richard Roupoli and Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda will be honored for their contribution to Los Angeles' Italian-American community. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Area Youth Programs and the La Piazza Cultural Center. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. and the awards ceremony at 8 p.m. San Pedro is home of the largest Italian-American community in Southern California.
