New Officer-In-Charge of LAPD Media Relations Section

As of Sunday, June 24, 2007, Lieutenant Ruben De La Torre will become the new Officer-In-Charge of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

He can be reached at 213-485-3586.

In addition, the LAPD Media Handbook can now be found on the homepage of the Department's official web-site at www.lapdonline.org. It can also be found on the newsroom page of the web-site. The handbook provides the settlement language regarding Al Crespo vs. The City of Los Angeles. The settlement language provides for the designation of media viewing areas during demonstrations and instructions, should a demonstration or rally be declared an unlawful assembly.

This advisory is for media only, not for publication.

For further information contact Media Relations Personnel at 213-485-3586.
