Officers Educate Vendors on New City Ordinance

What:
Los Angeles Police Officers will be educating the Venice Boardwalk vendors on a new City ordinance to take effect March 25, 2006.

When:
Saturday, March 18, 2006
2:00 p.m.-2: 30 p.m. the Boardwalk
2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the substation for officers location.

Who:
Sergeant Dave Rosenthal, Pacific Division
Officer Hankins, Pacific Division

Why:
City Council has changed Los Angeles Municipal Code 42.15 for the immediate area of Venice Beach Boardwalk that will limit the items vendors can sell. Pacific Division officers will be out this weekend, talking to the vendors and handing out flyers with the new changes so that vendors are informed of the new changes taking place. The new ordinance is scheduled to take effect March 25, 2006.
